Hi Folks I am back from the European walk about. I nearly called the shoot off this morning but the weather forecast said the rain would clear (yea right) so decided to carry on. Four club members and three potential members turned up. Rod had a brain fade and discovered when he got his gear out to shoot that he had left his ammo at home so he was able to relax and watch the rest of us shoot with varying success. Of course the rain cleared and then came back with a vengeance and soaked us and the gear. Charles and I had a less then memorable day with Iain romping home a clear winner. Charles and I thought the No 1 target wasn’t recording our shots properly which would explain our less than perfect scores but Iain shot on it and scored 90.5 so that blew that theory out the window. Charles is suspicious about the weight of Iain’s rifle so there could be a protest looming. Stu shot very well with his hunting rifle and Ross and Jason turned up for a look and both seem keen to return and have a go. Iain let them have a shot with his rifle and they were very impressed with that. I had no more ammo left otherwise they could have had a go with mine.
John.
