Sunday 18 September 2016 300 yd Shoot
Well it had to happen, as soon as we stopped shooting and cleaned up it stopped raining. Eleven of us braved the elements and Iain was very pleased with himself as he shot the perfect score – 60.10 twice, so his rifle is sorted. Paul said he will most likely put it on face book. Phil shot 60.4 so he’s also happy. Considering there was a strong wind plus drizzly rain everyone had some good results. Big thanks to Charles for repairing two of the flag poles which were broken and thanks to Kathy for taking the blackboard scoreboards home with her and she is going to repaint them and put permanent lines on them. Awesome help keeps the club ticking along. Thanks to Trevor for getting the flags in and Ian and Derrick for helping me put the targets away. Kathy’s magic touch also got one of the Kindles working again so even though it was wet it was still a great day chucking lead around.
Next shoot is on the 2nd of October and will be 800/900 yards, changed from the 300 originally in the programme
